Marie Duquesnois studied the piano at the CNSM in Lyon, her home-town, under Hervé Billaut. Very early on, she performed together with various chamber ensembles at such venues as the Amphithéâtre de l’Opéra, the Salle Molière and the Musée des Beaux-Arts.

Passionate about vocal repertoire, chamber music and the artistic process of exchange between musicians, comedians and dancers, Marie decided to complete her education at the CNSM in Paris, in the accompanying studios of Anne Le Bozec and Emmanuel Olivier, alongside her studies in Daria Hovora’s chamber music studio.

While in Paris, Marie had the opportunity to perform in a variety of venues, including the Châtelet, Reine Blanche and Adyar theatres, the auditoriums of the Musée d’Orsay and St. Germain, the Musée de l’Orangerie and l'Oratoire du Louvre.

Recipient of two Certificats d'Aptitude, for piano and accompanying, Marie worked for four years as a vocal coach for CRR in Paris.  Since 2016, she has been Accompanist at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève for the tuba, violin and voice studios.  She enjoys diversifying her artistic experience through producing chamber music concerts, participating as an orchestra member with such ensembles as the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and Contrechamps, and working as an operatic vocal coach.
