After finishing her studies at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, Maki Okada continues her studies in France. She was unanimously awarded the DEMS in 2008 at the CNR of Paris in Jean-Marie Cottet's class. It was with pianist Elena Rozanova's guidance that she continued to study. On returning to Japan, she continues her activity as a concert pianist in recitals, with orchestra or with chamber music groups. In 2011, the Symphony Orchestra of Kiev accompanied her in Rachmaninov's 3rd piano concert.  In 2013, she performed the full preludes of Debussy in the Hakuju Hall in Tokyo and that same year, she performed as a chamber musician with flautists Shigenori Kudo and Philippe Bernold. In January 2017, she performed a solo piano program around Bach and Rachmaninov in Kyoto and in Tokyo. The links created during this time with France and Europe marked her musical development, it's now repertoire for violin and piano that she focuses on with violinist Tedi Papavrami. Together in 2018, they received the Barocksaal prize in Kyoto, awarded to the best concert of the season in these places.
