Dominique Plancade won a first prize for piano and chamber music at the CNSM * in Paris. In 1992 he founded the Duo Fromentin – Plancade (four hands / two pianos). The record company EMI CLASSICS notices them during a concert and invites them to burn their first recording which will be rewarded with a ƒƒƒƒ from Télérama.  

Dominique Plancade is a chamber music partner sought after by his peers. He performs with Tabea Zimmermann, Nobuko Imai, Gilles Apap, Nemanja Radulovic, Sergueï Katchatrian, Laurent Korcia, Gérard Caussé, Isabelle Faust, Karine Deshayes…  

He is the guest of major festivals such as La Folle Journée de Nantes, La Roque d'Anthéron, la Chaise Dieu, the Festival de la Vézère, the Festival de Radio France, the Festival de St Riquier, Les Flâneries Musicales de Reims, le Cervantino Festival in Mexico or George Enescu in Manheim… He also performs in prestigious halls such as the Cité de la Musique, the Champs-Élysées Theater in Paris, Izumi Hall in Osaka, Tonhalle in Zürich, Kolarac Hall in Belgrade, the Megaron of Athens or the Palace of Fine Arts in Brussels.
