Born in 1966, Franck Villard studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.

He then started his professional activity as a vocal coach and then turned towards conducting. He had the opportunity to lead numerous concerts and lyrical works in France and abroad, including the National Rhine Opera, Opera of Saint-Etienne, the Opéra de Metz, at the Corum in Montpellier, the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Teatro Massimo of Palermo, Mikhailovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, the Chorégies d'Orange at the Salle Pleyel (Paris), Grand Théâtre de Genève. He has appeared at the head of several French and foreign orchestras such as the National du Capitole de Toulouse Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Montpellier, Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre Lyrique de Région Avignon Provence, Orchestra Mulhouse Symphony, the Symphony Orchestra and Lyric of Nancy, the Lorraine National Orchestra, the New Orchestra of Saint-Etienne, Marseille Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Opéra de Toulon, the Orchestre de Bretagne , the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, the Mikhaïlowski Theatre Orchestra of St Petersburg, the Orchestra of the Teatro Massimo, the Orchestre de la Comunitat Valenciana, the National Orchestra of Ile de France, Orchestre de Romandy ... In 2002, Franck Villard works at the Zurich Opera; it is in this house that he met Michel Plasson, he became assistant to the National Orchestre du Capitole in Toulouse. Since that time, he pursued a regular collaboration with M. Plasson, particularly at the Strasbourg Opera, Opéra de Nice, the Chorégies d'Orange, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Teatro Massimo of Palermo, at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, the Megaron in Athens, at the Grand Théâtre of Geneva, Paris Opera ... At the Paris Opera, he also assists chefs such as Marco Armiliato Tomas Netopil, Mikhail Jurowsky, Claus-Peter Flor, Michael Schonwandt Daniele Callegari ...

Alongside the conducting, Franck Villard develops a piano accompanist activity, particularly in the area of French song. Also composer, Franck Villard is the author include "Nine Répons Dark Holy Thursday" and "Christus factus est" for chorus a cappella, "Quasi una Fantasia" and "Ex abrupto" for organ, "Ariadne Theseo" (monologue dramatic for mezzo-soprano and orchestra), "The Child and the Night" (lyrical tale libretto Olivier Balazuc) and many transcriptions and orchestrations.
