Home The Academy The Association
The Music Academy of Villecroze is a non-profit association (French Law of 1901), which functions thanks to three generations of family patronage.

The Music Academy of Villecroze is run by a Board of Directors, elected by members at the AGM, with regular assistance of an Artistic advisor who recommends teachers and young talents. The Music Committee is consulted on projects and an Executive director supervises the implementation of projects. Staff in both Paris and Villecroze ensure upkeep and proper management of the premises.

Anne Postel-Vinay - President

Anne Postel-Vinay, who is a paediatrician doctor, devoted her professional life to the care of disabled and sick children. Among others, she worked at the Necker Hospital of Paris, in Professor Arnold Munnich’s service. In 1993, when her grand-mother Anne Gruner Schlumberger passed away, she takes after her the Presidence of the Music Academy of Villecroze. In 2009, she stops her medical activities and decides, together with her husband, to devote their life to patronage, especially on music. This is how the Music Academy of Villecroze continues to grow its activity by new partnerships with the French Ministry of National Education.

Miguel da Silva - Artistic advisor

After studying at the Conservatoire National de Région de Reims and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, Miguel da Silva won the Premier Grand Prix in the International Chamber Music Competition of Paris for sonatas. Focusing on string quartets, he founded the Ysaÿe quartet with three friends in 1987, whose brilliant career ended in 2014, when the quartet’s activity ceased. He also felt an irresistible need to engage in teaching. In addition to engagements in the best European schools, including the Haute École de Musique de Genève and Queen Elisabeth Royal Chapel in Belgium, Miguel da Silva has been giving masterclasses at the Music Academy of Villecroze on a regular basis and became its Artistic advisor in 2009.

Emilie Loeuil Labarchède - Executive director

Emilie Loeuil Labarchède is the executive director of the Music Academy of Villecroze since 2009. She ensures the administrative follow-up, the global management and the coordination of the various activities of the Academy, in close collaboration with the President and the Artistic advisor. Privileged interlocutor of professors, young talents and partners, she shares her time between Paris and Villecroze, where she oversees most of the activities. Jurist and graduated of conservatory in cello and chamber music, Emilie Loeuil Labarchède has been combining these two passions for the past 15 years through music promotion and production. Production assistant at the Bergen Opera and for a Norwegian contemporary ensemble, she was then appointed Executive Director of the Stavanger Chamber Music Festival.
