Gwendal leads a soloist career in France as well as abroad and participates in various events and festivals. He won the Scaramuzza prize in the international Les Corts competition in Barcelona in 2008, and his concerts are broadcast regularly. He is also passionate about chamber music, and received the “Musicians between war and peace” prize from the Ravel academy in 2010. He performs with many performers and ensembles, such as Le Balcon. In 2009, he founded the Trio Norma with which he regularly gives concerts, notably within the piano festival of La Roque-d'Anthéron (2013).

Gwendal has enjoyed a privileged relationship with the world of dance for many years and collaborates with companies such as the Opéra National de Paris or the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He is also a song leader, and performs with many opera singers. Gwendal Giguelay, who holds the Teaching Proficiency Certificate, teaches piano and chamber music at the CRD in Montreuil and at the Conservatory of the XVIIth arrondissement in Paris. He is also a trainer at the CND in Pantin and the ESMD in Lille.

Finally, Gwendal devotes himself to musical improvisation - which he studied with Jean-François Zygel - and devotes himself in particular to the musical accompaniment of silent cinema. We can also see it in the film Noces by Philippe Béziat (2011).

Gwendal would like to thank the Société Générale Patronage, the Music Acadey of Villecroze, Music in Flaine and the Meyer Foundation for the support provided.
