I had the privilege of participating twice in the Académie Musicale de Villecroze (Jean-Claude Pennetier in 2012 and Dominique Merlet in 2015).
A favorable place for extreme concentration and even isolation, which is sometimes necessary for musicians. The site, of exceptional beauty and refined and elegant architecture is located in a region with an ideal climate. Everything has been thought out down to the smallest detail to allow students to devote themselves solely to receiving the teaching of a very high level teacher. Advice that has remained etched in my memory and which, for some, I did not grasp the full scope until months or years later. The opportunity also to sympathize with young colleagues, during a deciphering session or a table tennis game session!
