Philippe Biros, born in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, is a laureate of the National Conservatory of Music in Paris, the Juilliard School in New York and various international competitions (Sydney, Zaragoza, Hugo Wolf of Stuttgart ...) While pursuing a career as a soloist, he devotes a large part of his activities to accompaniment du Lied and de la Mélodie which he studied with Noël Lee, then with Hartmut Höll. This is how he accompanied many master classes, in particular those of Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Véra Rozsa, Gabriel Bacquier, Eric Tappy and that he became the regular partner of Udo Reinemann, Béatrice Uria-Monzon, Gisèle Fixe , Vincent Le Texier, Jyrki Niskanen .... In chamber music, he played with violinists Roland Daugareil, Jean Tuffet and in 1996 with the Brindisi Quartet. He gives numerous recitals in France, the United States, Holland and Germany. He is a regular guest on France Musique, France Culture and on various French television programs, notably "Musicales" by Alain Duault. Since 1992, he has taught lied and melody at the Masters of Notre Dame de Paris. He conducted the vocal chamber music group Instant-Récital and, until 2007, the International Festival of Choral Singing in the Basque Country. At the CRR de Paris, he teaches vocal accompaniment for pianists and he is song leader in the Superior Department for Young Singers. He forms a duet with the Spanish classical dancer Catalina Gomez. He has recently performed with Akiko Ebi, Daniel Hope, Philip Dukes and Patrick Messina, as well as in Paris at the Musée Marmottan and the Conservatory of Dramatic Art. In 2013, he played "Monsieur Rossini" during a French tour of the "Petite Messe Solennelle" with the Justiana Company. In October 2016, he performed in recital with mezzo-soprano Grace Durham at the Ravel Days in Montfort-l'Amaury. At the Ravel Academy, Philippe Biros is in charge of singing.
